Testimonials

  • I came in for Pelvic pain after hysterectomy and bladder sling. My care has been different than prior physical therapy experiences since sessions are not rushed. Laura is very kind and caring and knows what she’s doing. She knows the anatomy and what treatments will work. I experienced some results within a couple weeks. Results are ongoing as it’s nerve damage issues. I can now run my dog in agility, Fish, Walk on the beach and do pretty much everything. Laura is very knowledgeable and caring. Great personality, great bedside manner. She listens to you and works with you extremely well. She’s great. The office is nice, it’s clean and well maintained. Plenty of privacy too.

  • I began seeing Laura because I had months of abdominal pain after beginning birth control and was started on treatments for endometriosis. The OBGYN I saw to begin my treatment noticed that, beyond endometriosis, I had some muscle tightness that was contributing to debilitating pain whenever I exercised and even occasionally prevented me from being able to walk around my school's campus without severe pain. My Doctor recommended Dynamic Flow Physical Therapy to me because of the fascial involvement she noticed during my exam and thought that, in addition to adjusting my hormones, I needed some physical work as well. This experience was different than the care I received before because I felt like the things I was struggling with were evaluated as a part of a larger system (my whole body) rather than an isolated problem. I felt cared for a lot more holistically and definitely grew to have a lot more awareness of my body and what makes it feel good. I experienced results very quickly and felt much less tightness, even at my second appointment. I was able to go on vacation and participate in a lot of activities that would have been nearly impossible for me to do without pain, even three weeks before. Now I am able to walk around my campus, stand to fold laundry for long periods of time, hike, run, ride my horse, and do any activity I would like to do pain-free. Another valuable thing I learned in Dynamic Flow Physical Therapy is how to help my body when I do experience pain, whether it is different ways to realign my hips or how to release tension I am holding. I'm now confident in my ability to avoid pain on my own after all of the help and work from Laura. I recommend Dynamic Flow to anyone looking for a holistic assessment of their pain and to people who want to enjoy the activities that make them happy without the fear that they will be in pain. You will know a lot more about your body and what it needs after starting treatment at Dynamic Flow.

  • “I came in to see Laura after 4 years of pelvic pain and many more years of chronic low back pain. I had mild pain with everyday activities, like playing with my son, and severe pain with intercourse. It made it so hard for me to want to do those things because I knew that the pain would be there. I had seen a different pelvic floor physical therapist prior to the birth of my son. The difference between my experiences was in the comprehensiveness of Laura's evaluation. Instead of focusing on a diagnosis, Laura took the time to analyze my movement, palpate the quality of painful muscles, and gather information about my past that made the whole plan of care very personalized. Better yet, she did so in a way that made me inspired. I was really all in with the plan of care because I was so encouraged to see how thoughtful Laura was in determining what would work best for me! It took 5 visits total (including the evaluation) to see results. Actually, I started seeing results on day 1. I knew I would reach the finish line in no time. I 10/10 would recommend, and already have, anybody to Laura that wants to feel results that matter! Thank you Laura.”

  • “I found Laura last fall as I was looking for a pelvic therapist. I used to be a marathon runner but after having complications with my kidney transplant in 2008 and multiple abdominal and hernia surgeries after that, I had to stop running due to severe incontinence. To be honest, I had low expectations because prior pelvic therapists told me basically to do Kegels while transplant doctors told me to stop running. I was willing to give Laura a try because I saw her extensive orthopedic background and she was active herself. From the first intake visit, I knew Laura was different. She took the time to listen about my medical and lifestyle background, what I had stopped doing activity/sport wise and what was important to me to regain a sense of self. We put a plan in place which included myofascial massage to release years of surgery scars, targeted pelvic strengthening and realignment exercises. She also gave me customized home exercises I did daily, which we incrementally built upon as the weeks progressed. Within 3 months of working together, I was able to run a 5km and hike 10 miles without needing a thick pad. I was overjoyed and so grateful! I now tell all my girlfriends that pelvic therapy works if you have the right therapist. Highly recommend Laura!!

  • I saw Laura during my pregnancy and into postpartum with my first baby and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Throughout my pregnancy she addressed my various pains, giving me the tools to keep my body strong at every stage and to prepare me for delivering my baby with minimal pelvic floor trauma. Postpartum, she performed a full evaluation and coached me through the recovery of my pelvic floor, abdominal muscles, and overall strength. Amazingly, by 9 weeks postpartum I had no pain with intercourse! I highly recommend pelvic floor physical therapy with Laura to all my friends who are either pregnant or struggling with postpartum recovery.

  • In fewer than five sessions, Dr. Currens helped me get back into the world. I endured 18 months of life-altering stress incontinence following a partial hysterectomy at age 48. The video clips she provides after each appointment help me perform my exercises correctly at home. I am so grateful to have her optimism and expertise on my side.

  • I injured my hip and SI joint surfing over a year ago. Since that time it had not responded much to various treatments. I saw Laura a couple weeks ago and after just the 1st session I felt like a new person. I've since had 2 follow ups and am 80% recovered. She really takes the time to tune in to your body and pinpoint and resolve subtle muscular issues to bring you back into balance. The exercises she prescribed are super gentle yet have already had a profound impact on my core strength. Its unlike any bodywork I've ever received. Top tier!!!

  • I’m beyond grateful to have found Laura for my physical therapy needs during my pregnancy. She’s so patient, positive and understanding. I wasn’t sure which exercises I should be doing during my pregnancy to help strengthen my body and my pelvic floor. After speaking to Laura on the phone, her positivity and genuineness was felt immediately. My first session with her was wonderful! She gave me the confidence to do the specific exercises that were appropriate for me. She also took pictures and videos and posted everything on her portal so I could go back to do these exercises from home. I felt beyond supported after my first session with Laura. I knew Dynamic Flow Physical Therapy was perfect for me. I had worked with another physical therapist prior to working with Laura, and I didn’t feel that we were in alignment about my goals. Laura’s helped me immensely with weird pains I’ve had during pregnancy, especially in my ribs, shoulders and neck. I highly recommend Laura and would tell everyone to try at least one session and experience a 10 star treatment. Laura will make you feel at home and will help you reach your goals in a positive and supportive environment.

  • I'm so happy I found Laura! 6 months postpartum and I still felt tightness in my pelvic region which really limited certain activities for me. After a handful of sessions, my symptoms resolved. I also walked away with a good understanding of what I can do to help "rebuild" and work towards my pre-pregnancy state. Laura is super thorough and sends you "homework" after each session. I'm an active person, so it was really important for me to get back to tennis, running, and the gym. After pregnancy sometimes you just don't snap back, but with Laura's help you just might - and safely at that.

  • “I came to see Laura for help with chronic lower back, genital and pelvic pain issues. After many years in regular physical therapy without success and feeling out of options for my pain, I sought out pelvic floor therapy with Laura. In just a handful of sessions I have learned a great deal about my own body, and she has helped me to approach my healing journey with a more expansive understanding of how it functions and what my unique needs are. Laura is an extremely competent, intuitive, and kind practitioner, able to specialize my treatment in a progress-oriented way to my body and my needs. I'm quickly beginning to regain strength and to make adjustments to posture, movement and muscle control. I always look forward to our sessions! Her focus and positivity are contagious in what otherwise had long felt like a hopeless situation for me. If you are on the fence about starting treatment, don't hesitate! “

  • I was experiencing a lot of lower back pain after having a baby and decided to contact Laura at Dynamic flow Physical Therapy. A coworker met Laura at a pelvic floor class and suggested I reach out. Best decision I have ever made, Laura is a great listener, patient and treats you with great care and compassion. I felt relief immediately after 1 session. Highly recommended, thank you Laura!!

  • “Laura is an extremely talented Physical Therapist. When I first saw her I thought my only option was surgery on my back, she brought me back to 100%, and now I not only know what I need to maintain I actually feel stronger and have a better understanding of how the body all works together. I’ll recommend Laura 100 out of 100 times.”

  • “Love Dynamic Flow and Laura! I found her when she spoke to a moms group I belong to about all things pelvic flow after birth and it was such good information I went to see her for some lower back/hip pain I was having. During my first exam she talked me through everything she was doing and what she was seeing. She was patient and kind with my questions and gave me simple exercises to do that were easy to implement in my everyday life as a mom. After just a few sessions I can see and feel such a difference. I feel stronger and more knowledgeable in how my body works and what I can do to keep it healthy and working at its best! I highly recommend Laura and would encourage anyone on the fence about trying physical therapy to go see her. She makes the whole experience comfortable and easy and I leave feeling so much more strong and confident than when I walked in.

  • “I came to Dynamic Flow with uncomfortable digestion issues and bad PMS cramps. I had improved my condition a lot by cleaning up my diet and lifestyle but pelvic floor PT was the missing piece to my treatment. Since I started working with Laura I have had completely pain free periods and saw tremendous improvement in my digestion, an end to my seemingly perpetual bloating and pain free sex. The massage work dissipated a lot of my stress and the exercises she gives are easy to follow and effective at stretching and strengthening overlooked muscles. Absolutely worth it!”

  • “Laura is absolutely amazing!!! I started getting treatment when I was about 3 months postpartum. I was still experiencing multiple chronic instances of pain from giving birth, and had not found helpful support through my midwife or GP. Laura helped me find complete relief from my urinary pain in just a few sessions. This was just one of the many pains she helped alleviate, but I cannot describe the relief and joy I have being able to pee pain free! Pelvic floor therapy and the conversations that come up as a result are intimate, and Laura made me feel incredibly comfortable, safe, and heard throughout the whole process. I looked forward to every session and I would highly recommend her care to anyone postpartum/really anyone experiencing any kind of pelvic funkiness. I only wish I had started physical therapy with her sooner. It’s definitely worth it!”
