FAQs

  • We are committed to offering you individualized care, focused on you and your goals. We treat the “whole” body not one part and believe this is hugely important to obtain lasting results. Our goal is to make long-lasting, life-time changes, and to teach you to manage or maintain a healthy and active lifestyle per your goals. We want to empower you to feel confident getting back to whatever it is you want to with confidence and a customized plan that works for you.

  • We do not accept insurance but we can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance under out of network (OON) benefits. A superbill will have all the information and codes that you need to submit to your insurance. Some insurances may reimburse you anywhere between 30-70%. after deductible is met. We can guide you on questions to ask your insurance to find out your plan details. We are not responsible for your reimbursement. Please make sure to check with your insurance provider whether you need authorization before treatment.

In order to provide the type of one-on-one treatment that my patients want and deserve I do not have a relationship with any insurances. In network PT’s have lower pay out from insurances causing them to have to see more patients per day, use aides and support staff, and decrease visit times. I strongly believe patients deserve my full attention to get better faster.

Forms of payment we accept include check, cash, credit/debit, venmo, zelle, or HSA/FSA.

  • We are unable to work with Medicare beneficiaries for physical therapy due to Medicare rules and regulations. We can work together under wellness category if you are looking for general conditioning, strengthening, or movement training. We are happy to refer you to an in network clinic that can help you if you are looking for physical therapy.

  • In the state of California for physical therapy we have limited “direct access” which means we are able to treat individuals for up to 45 days or 12 visits which ever comes first without a doctor’s prescription. After that time we will need a prescription to continue treatments.

  • If you are pregnant and currently experiencing pregnancy pains such as hip, pelvic, and/or low back pain, it is best to start treatment now to address your discomfort, get your body prepared for delivery and speed up your postpartum recovery. We can also set up monthly check ins to help manage any symptoms that come up. If you are feeling fine, we can also start pelvic floor therapy during your third trimester anywhere from 32-36 weeks. During these sessions, your therapist will provide some hands on bodywork, work on your pelvic alignment, review labor and birth positions, teach you how to “push” and provide you with education about the birthing process.

  • If you are having any pain or concerns after childbirth, we can start as early as 2 weeks postpartum and take you through some gentle movement and bodywork. Otherwise, we can wait until after your postpartum OB appointment (4-6 weeks postpartum). We like to start early postpartum to build good habits during the tissue healing phase to decrease risk of issues happening as you return to full activities.

  • Even though you didn’t give birth vaginally, your pelvic floor, core and whole body is affected from carrying around the weight of your baby for 9 months. Plus you had a major abdominal surgery. Following your c-section, we can assess how your pelvic floor has been affected externally or internally, address your c-section scar tissue, and work on core rehabilitation.

  • As a pelvic floor therapist our assessment will look different than your standard pelvic exam. We do not use stirrups or a speculum. We will use one or two gloved fingers inserted in the vagina or rectum to assess the pelvic floor muscles, how they are contracting, relaxing, and coordinating with movements. We can perform this in multiple positions to obtain the best information.
